Buffalo Village Board February meeting minutes
      The regular February meeting of the Village of Buffalo was called to order at 7 p.m. by Mayor Bill Vetter with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
      Members present were Bill Vetter, Joe Lester, Ryan Mendenhall, Pam Paul, Dennis Page, Tom Paige, Misty Burris, treasurer, Phyllis Quick, clerk, and Bruce Beeman,
attorney.
      VISITORS: Chet Brandt, Tri-City Public Library, Bob Brouse, Perrino & Associates.
      RECEPTION OF VISITORS: Mr. Brandt spoke about the summer reading program planned for the youth. They are talking of planting a garden so children can plant seeds
and watch them grow. The FFA Chapter at Tri-City Schools is willing to help with the program. The Village Board gave them permission to go ahead with their plan. The
Library is talking of a space 10 by 15 feet.
      Mr. Brouse presented the annual audit. He said the village had very good financial records. Mr. Brouse gave copies of the audit to board members.
      READING OF MINUTES: T. Paige made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected, seconded by D. Page. Motion passed.
      TREASURER'S REPORT: T. Paige made a motion to accept treasurer's report, seconded by Mendenhall. Motion passed.
      READING OF THE BILLS: T. Paige made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by D. Page. Roll call vote: Lester — yea, Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea,

      COMMUNICATIONS: Thank you from the Thaxton family.
Tri-City After Prom Committee is asking for a donation for the event. T. Paige made a motion to make a donation of $100, seconded by Mendenhall. Roll call vote: Lester —
yea, Mendenhall — yea, Paul — yea, D. Page — yea, T. Paige — yea. Motion passed.
      COMMITTEE REPORTS
      FINANCE: Copies of a tentative budget for fiscal year May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013 were given to board members for suggestions.
      PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY: The trash can by the Post Office has disappeared. T. Paige made a motion to purchase a new trash can, seconded by Mendenhall.

      STREETS & ALLEY: Some of the street signs are faded, it is difficult to read them.
      PARK & BOULEVARD: The bunting that is displayed in the downtown area looks nice. The flags are showing damage from the wind being so strong. Flags will be flown
from June 14 to July 4.
      POLICE: The police radio with the county does not work well in all areas.
      TREES: Will continue to trim low limbs.
      Joe Lester, ESDA representative, needs a new radio to keep in contact with the Fire Department. Lester made a motion to purchase a new radio, seconded by T. Paige.
